Life after racing

Nigel had always played golf as a means of focusing and relaxing, however as he was no longer racing he swapped his ambition from one type of driving to another and his desire to succeed once again kicked in. As with racing he practised hard and was determined to win.

Sunseeker Sunseeker showed their belief in Nigel by sponsoring him for much of his career. Nigel returned the favour and is now a world-wide ambassador for Sunseeker Powerboats. He also spends as much of his time he is able aboard RED 5 his 94ft Sunseeker yacht based in the Mediterranean.

UK Youth Nigel Mansell is the president of UK youth which is a charity that provides tools to build young people's self esteem, aptitude, skills and knowledge to evaluate workers strengths and identify areas of development. They enable workers to tackle the difficulties young people experience, be they behavioural or circumstantial and to find practical solutions that encourage young people to take an active part in their own learning.

PGA Seniors On 8th August 2003 Nigel Mansell turned 50 and was eligible to play on the European Seniors tour. Woodbury Park hosted the inaugural Nigel Mansell Classic PGA Seniors tour just two weeks later on the 22nd August. It was the perfect location for such a prestigious event and delivered all the drama and excitement he had hoped for. So successful was the association with the PGA and acclaim of the competitors and spectators that the second event is to be held again on 8 - 11th July 2004. With competitors including Tony Jacklin, Tommy Horton, last years Woodbury Park winner Mike Miller and of course, Nigel Mansell, it is surely an event not to be missed.

Dream-a-way DREAM-A-WAY's aim is to send local people physical and learning difficulties on holidays and day trips. People of all ages and from around the South West are helped in every way possible to have a DREAM-A-WAY holiday. Volunteers provide their time and services freely - and that the charity does not incur any administration costs which has meant that over 1000 people have benefited since the launch and in 1999 DREAM-A-WAY purchased it's first of 3 luxury caravans at Haven Holidays, Sandy Bay, Devon, one of which is named after the DREAM-A-WAY president, Nigel Mansell.

UK Youth In 2007 Nigel was delighted when he was asked to become a sportasylum.com sporting legend.
